Terms of Use

Last Updated: January 15, 2025

These terms govern your access to and use of Salvatore's educational platform. Please read them carefully before participating in our programs.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website at sallvattore.top or enrolling in any of our food plating and presentation programs, you're entering into a binding agreement with Salvatore. We're a creativity education provider based in Montreal, and we take these terms seriously because they protect both you and us.

If you don't agree with any part of these terms, you shouldn't use our services. We update these periodically, and continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. It's straightforward, but it matters.

Educational Services Description

We offer specialized training in food plating and presentation techniques. Our programs include hands-on workshops, demonstration sessions, and guided practice opportunities. What we teach comes from real kitchen experience—not theory alone.

What We Provide

  • Access to instructional sessions at our Montreal location
  • Learning materials related to plating techniques and presentation concepts
  • Practical demonstrations using professional kitchen equipment
  • Feedback on your developing skills during scheduled program hours

Keep in mind that skill development takes time and varies by individual. We can't promise specific outcomes or career advancement. What you get from our programs depends heavily on your effort and practice outside class hours.

Enrollment and Registration

Registration for our programs opens approximately six months before the start date. Most of our autumn 2025 programs will begin accepting applications in April 2025, with classes starting between September and October 2025.

When you register, you need to provide accurate information. False or misleading details can result in immediate removal from the program without refund. We verify basic information, and if something doesn't check out, we'll reach out before taking action.

Registration Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to enroll independently. Younger participants need guardian consent. You'll also need to confirm that you can physically participate in kitchen activities, which sometimes involve standing for extended periods and handling kitchen tools.

Payment Terms and Conditions

Program fees are due before your first session unless you've arranged a payment plan with us directly. We accept various payment methods, and all transactions are processed securely. Once we receive payment, you'll get confirmation within 48 hours.

Payments are non-refundable after the program start date. Before that, we offer refunds minus a processing fee if you withdraw at least 14 days before the first session. This policy exists because we prepare materials and reserve space based on confirmed registrations.

Your Responsibilities as a Participant

You're expected to show up on time, participate actively, and respect the shared learning space. Our facility at Time Out Market in Montreal gets busy, and we need everyone to follow basic kitchen safety protocols.

  • Arrive prepared with any requested materials or ingredients
  • Follow safety guidelines when using kitchen equipment
  • Respect other participants and instructors during sessions
  • Clean your workspace after each session
  • Notify us in advance if you can't attend a scheduled session

Repeated violations of these expectations can lead to removal from the program. We're pretty reasonable about occasional issues, but patterns of disruptive behavior aren't fair to other learners.

Intellectual Property Rights

The techniques, materials, and content we share during programs belong to Salvatore. You're welcome to use what you learn in your own cooking and professional work, but you can't reproduce our instructional materials, record sessions without permission, or teach our specific curriculum to others for commercial purposes.

Photos you take of your own work during sessions are yours. We sometimes photograph sessions for promotional purposes, and by participating, you consent to potentially appearing in these materials. If that's a problem for you, let us know—we'll work around it.

Limitation of Liability

We maintain insurance and take safety seriously, but kitchen work involves inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Salvatore isn't liable for minor injuries that can occur during normal kitchen activities.

What We're Not Responsible For

We can't be held liable for career outcomes, business success, or employment opportunities after completing our programs. We're educators, not employment agencies or career counselors. What happens with your skills after you leave is up to you.

We're also not responsible for any business ventures you start based on techniques learned here. That includes liability for food safety issues, business failures, or customer disputes in your own operations.

Maximum liability: In any case where we are found liable, our total liability won't exceed the amount you paid for the specific program in question.

Privacy and Data Protection

We collect basic information when you register—name, contact details, payment information. This data is stored securely and used only for program administration and occasional updates about new offerings.

We don't sell your information to third parties. We might share anonymized data about program completion rates or participant feedback for educational purposes, but nothing that identifies you personally.

You can request to see what data we have about you or ask us to delete it, though we need to retain some records for financial and legal compliance purposes.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Sometimes we need to cancel or reschedule sessions due to instructor illness, facility issues, or insufficient enrollment. When this happens, we'll notify you as soon as possible and offer alternative dates or a full refund.

If you need to miss a session, let us know. We can't offer refunds for missed classes, but we might be able to arrange a makeup session if space allows. This isn't guaranteed though—it depends on our schedule and available capacity.

Code of Conduct

We expect professional behavior from everyone. Harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior toward instructors or other participants won't be tolerated. This includes inappropriate comments, unwanted physical contact, or any behavior that makes others uncomfortable.

First violations usually result in a warning and conversation. Serious or repeated issues lead to immediate removal without refund. We want everyone to feel safe while learning.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a problem with our services, please contact us directly first. Most issues get resolved through simple conversation. Reach us at contact@sallvattore.top or call +1(819) 964-0556.

For disputes that can't be resolved informally, we agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action. Any legal proceedings would be governed by Quebec law and handled in Montreal courts.

Changes to Terms

We update these terms occasionally to reflect new programs, legal requirements, or operational changes. When we make significant changes, we'll email registered participants and post updates on our website at least 30 days before they take effect.

Your continued participation after changes go into effect means you accept the new terms. If you don't agree with changes, you can withdraw before they take effect and receive a prorated refund based on remaining sessions.

Severability and Enforcement

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We're not waiving our rights if we don't immediately enforce a particular term—we can still enforce it later.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Salvatore regarding program participation. They supersede any previous agreements or understandings, whether written or verbal.

Questions About These Terms?

If something here is unclear, reach out. We'd rather explain now than deal with confusion later.
